Dear Players,
This thread is to clarify our policy on the discussion of religion and the creation of fictional religions in the world of Face of Mankind.
Our policy, as always, is that we do not permit any discussion of real-life religion of any kind. This includes anything from insulting any religion, discussing religious dogma, proselytizing, as well as defending your own religion. We simply do not permit any discussion of real life religions, simple as that. If a player insults your real life religion, you should take a screenshot and submit it to us at support.fomportal.com to handle. Do not in any case engage in a verbal joust ingame (or on these forums, for that matter), as this will only inflame matters and raise tensions to dangerous levels.
Let this be a warning to all that even if you're merely defending yourself and your religion, if you play a role in a discussion on religion, you will receive account penalties as well.
Secondly, regarding fictional religions in Face of Mankind, we stand by our decision to allow them to remain in Face of Mankind, with conditions. These fictional religions:
1. Must not reference any real-life religion in any way;
2. Must not be construed as commentary on any real-life religion, and;
3. Most importantly, must not be construed as insulting to any real-life religion.
All these points also include the concept of religion as a whole (ie. you cannot insult the concept of religion in itself).
The penalties for violating this will not be light, so we urge any individual who wishes to be involved in this area to tread very lightly, and exercise utmost restraint and caution.
