Closed Beta Report
Part 18
Closed Beta 2 is going along very well, even though the last week was all about bugfixes. Well, this is actually the main business in a beta. But it's nothing very spectacular to report.
What's more interesting is that the first faction leader votings have ended and most of the factions now have an elected leader, which is not a GM, but a normal tester. Particularly one election was very interesting to watch and the result of it was that the election has be redone for reasons which are not to be revealed here. Almost as exciting as in real life, and these are basically just tests with about 50 voters per faction. We are looking forward to elections with thousands of eligible voters.
It is very interesting to see in-game politics shaping up. Besides all the bug hunting, there's always room for role-playing, as you can see on these screenshots covering a meeting of the FDC High Command.

And what is FoM without big battles such as the one that took place on Titan Station last night. The colony is currently under control of the Mercenaries, but the Dominion somehow doesn't like that so much. Where politics and negotiations fail, the sword has to speak, or in the case of FoM bullets and plasma beams.
