Step 1 of the launch of

Face of Mankind - Closed Beta 2

is done.

We have merged the portal database with the game database. The portal is back again and is now accessing the game database.
The testers from CB1 who we planned to keep can now check their accounts. It should show "Beta Tester" for them. The total amount is 70 including all admins and gamemasters.

Note: Make sure to properly log out and back in to your portal account!

Right now we are clearing the player forums for a fresh start. We are only going to leave important stickied threads and the bugtracker of course. The rest will be moved to an archive which we can always access at a later time. Your suggestions will not be lost.

The selection of the 500 new closed beta testers will be done within the next 2 hours.
There is also going to be one last patch to version 1.4.2.6 before the game server will be restarted.

We will keep you updated when we're all done.

Progress Update:
We will go ahead with the plan this evening at around 19:00 CET. The selection of 500 new testers should be complete by then.
As a note, it is useless to auto-refresh your account page at the portal, because your settings are not reloaded from the database. We are going to send out emails to all testers once the selection is done. We will also make another announcement when this is done.
So just wait for the announcement and your email and relax.

We have completed the selection of 500 new beta testers. Your accounts have been updated and invitation mails are being sent out right now. Please note that mail delivery can be delayed! Also please excuse duplicate invitation mails. We had a problem with our new mailing solution and had to restart the process 2 times.

Update:
We are aware that a significant amount of invites haven't been sent out yesterday. We are working on a more sophisticated bulk mailing solution and will repeat the process later today.

In the meantime, those who can see the status "Beta Tester" in their account will have to link your game account here in these forums at http://forum.fomportal.com/fom_form.php. Once your account is linked, you will have access to all Closed Beta forums, where you can also find all necessary steps to get into the game.
